Things to think about when shopping for a Mortgage Loan:
- Is the interest rate quoted with points and/or origination fee?
- Are the points capped?
- Are the pre-approvals free?
- What is the Annual Percentage Rate of Interest (APR)? Also, what is included in the quoted APR?
- What will the closing costs be?
- What is the best loan product for me - a fixed rate or an adjustable rate?
- What about servicing? Will I call you after the loan is closed or will you sell my loan?
- Is the application process simplified? Will you take my application at a place and time I choose?
